The personal presence in digital era.

In a digital era, where everyone is looking to be more connected, more update and present everywhere, the relations are working in several different ways.

There is the real life experience, the offline interaction, the personal exchange. And here is where we can give to our loved ones the most precious gift: OUR TIME.

We never now when will be the last time you will have a drink or a coffee, walk or play with that old friend, or just talk to that really nice friend. In one day this person can move overseas, change work, quit studying, meet new people or anything like that. So the best would be enjoying this time and the presence.

Eckhart Tolle says:

“Always say ‘yes’ to the present moment… Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life — and see how life starts suddenly to start working for you rather than against you.”

And what happens when you are always moving around, travelling or living abroad? How to keep the ties?

Normally, for a while, we keep in touch with that special friend, or that family member that reappeared in our life for some reason. But and the others?

Im that kind of person who do not share much of my personal life on the social networks, but for that special group of people I do. As the opportunity to be nice and give the love is not always available, I believe that a like, a comment or a simple message could show the other person how important is.

Some while ago, while studying the influence of social media, I found something about the Power of likes, and all make sense. But in meaningful or deep relations, is that important? Does it Matters?

One very important quote from Walt Whitman is: The gift is to the giver. And That´s the most valuable thing. A like, a post, a message is the way that today , a lot of people use to demonstrate some love. And this gift is from who posted, and this is beautiful.

As I said, I’m not a social media person, but it counts in the real life relations. This is the digital era, and the digital life is getting deeper in our offline life, no? So reciprocity works in here as well.

With that, enjoy your family and friends, your lovers or partners when they are with you. This might do not least. And when you go away, or them — Be present, be part of their life and let them be part of yours. A simple life can change a day, a good morning can make someones day.

Spread the love and like it.
